Human technology and progress reduces human loss and suffering, but at the expense of billions of individuals of other species. Wealthy populations churn the environment to grow themselves into ever more destructive giants, while the less fortunate scramble to find space around the edges of the tumult.
At the same time, our manipulations of the natural world give rise to colorful new ideas, mysteries, and life. What new inventions, creatures, or spirits may arise from future human interjections in nature?
